Kicking off the triathlon season again

Today was our last day of tri team training in 2011 so what better way to celebrate a really fun year than to register for my 2012 A race right away. This coming season is all about building on all the learnings from last year and of course try to beat my results from the different races. My unexpected final event last year was the Black Diamond half iron, a race I really didnt plan on doing and didnt train for the distance either but I’m glad I did it. I’m really excited about the coming months of hard training and to get things a little interesting I’ve just signed up to do a half ironman on Iceland’s national day, 17 June. I’m going international with Saunders Subaru Victoria Island Triathlon together with a dozen or so team mates from Pro Sports Club Triathlon team.

Time to put a training plan together and this year I’m already ok with doing 15-20 km runs and been doing swim classes twice a week for a few months but I have a long way to race form, especially a form that I want to be in to beat all my times from last year.

Let the fun begin
